THE GOOD & THE BAD WEEK
Duh….. have you experienced a good and bad week altogether? I have.
Sunday night, together with my wife and kids, we went to Urbanfest, Ancol. The main purpose was to see Sore and White Shoes & The Couples Company in concert. I’ve been calling and sending sms to Awan (Sore’s bassist), Boik (Sore’s manager) and John (WS&TCC’s drummer) for the exact event rundown. Especially when they’re on stage. I was very excited to know that they played next to each other, and on the same slot (19.30-20.30 WIB). So it won’t be a problem. We were very happy to see them live. Unfortunately Sore didn’t play Pergi Tanpa Pesan, our favourite song. We even have that song as our ring back tone cellphone.
Anyway, it was during that event I lost one of my most favourite keychain: Tintin in Tibet, where Tintin was having his backpack. It must fell somewhere or somebody grabbed it, I don’t know). We walked everywhere, quite dark, and I have no idea where it fell. So it was gone forever. I was very sad.
Some days before, I was very upset with my wife. I didn’t know what’s on her mind. But she threw away a box, with my favourite watch in it! She thought it was empty, she said. But based on past experience, I’m pretty sure that wasn’t the reason. She was mindblinded, when she threw the box. Not realizing to checked the inside first. So the watch is gone forever.
As usual, my car was parked in front of the house during daytime. And as usual, every Tuesday, I parked a bit farther so the truck, carrying trash, could pass leaving my car any harm. But accidents do happen. It wasn’t the truck, but it was the trash (perhaps some leaves and woods) left marks on the two left doors. It wasn’t that damaged, but still it was visible enough from a close distance. I didn’t know what to say. The truck won’t repaired it for sure. For the whole day, I kept thinking how to repair those scratches. Yesterday I went to a car saloon, for the first time since I bought this new car a year ago. I didn’t give specific orders to erase the scratches. But the guys there noticed it, and they promised to do their best. I spent 3,5 hours wandering around. To Mc Donalds, bookstore, CD store, having coffee latte at a cafe, reading The White Castle book, …until I called the saloon. They said the car is finished and I could get it. I was very happy, although not expecting much in the beginning, that most scratch were gone. Yay!!!
It was also yesterday, when two packages arrived. One was a dvd, A Stranger of Mine. It was a Japanese movie, my most favourite movie during JIFFEST 2006. I finally decided to buy imported, since no local versions avail ever since. The other package was from Amazon.com, also a dvd, Rendezvous (Juliette Binoche). I considered this package lost, since it was sent more than a month ago. The order was divided into two shipments. The first was with Rendezvous, while the latter (sent two weeks later) with 300 special ed. The 2nd part already arrived some 10 days ago, while the first was nowhere. I e-mailed Amazon, and I knew they’d replace the order anyway, but still I wanted to wait. Hoping it arrived on time. I’m very glad the dvd is on my hands now.
Guess everybody has a good and a bad week altogether….
